Exploring Nevada - Voices of the Holocaust | Print |

On this program, we look at how current day Nevada students are learning from a dark chapter of history Hitlers campaign of hate and destruction before and during World War II, in order that they make different choices for their lives and the world they live in.

This program includes excerpts of a keynote speech given by internationally known speaker Gerda Weismann Klein, and interviews with students and teachers. Martha Gould in Reno and Edythe Katz Yarchever in Las Vegas, both members of the Governors Advisory Council on the Holocaust Education, show us the resources available to the public at the Shia Szut Holocaust Collection at the Northwest Library in Washoe County and at the Sperling Mack Kronberg Library for Holocaust Studies in Las Vegas.
